Help

Our online facility has been designed to help you with your application process. Please read these guidance notes before starting your application.

Registration and 'Save & Return'

The 'save & return' feature allows you to complete your application in as many sessions as you want and in your own time. Before accessing the online application form you will be required to register, you only need to do this once.

When you have successfully registered you will be given a unique Registration ID, together with your chosen Username, using these you will be able to retrieve a previously saved application. This information (username/reg id) will also be required in order to access our other features once you have submitted your application (through the my account area). Please keep this information safe. Your Username and Registration ID will also be confirmed to you via email (we recommend you either save or print this email).

Forgot your Login details?

You can request to have your login details sent to your email address automatically. All you have to do is click here, then enter the email address that you registered with. An email will be sent immediately to the email address containing your login details (providing you have registered with us). Once you have these details simply return to this website and enter your Login details (Username, Registration ID) in the Login box provided on the home or login page to access your graduate application / account.

Application tips

• Read the whole of the form and our website before you start.

• If your computer has a tendency to 'freeze' or crash please be sure to 'save' your application regularly during each session.

• Prepare all long answers in a word processor, then copy and paste them into your online application (as they are needed).

• We appreciate that our application form is time consuming and isn’t easy to complete – so it’s important that you prepare well and don’t rush it.

• Be selective, concise and be sure that the information you provide is relevant. When we ask for examples of leadership, we don’t expect you to have run every society at university. We just want to be convinced of your appetite for responsibility and that you have some idea of how to work with and motivate others. Don’t overlook the value of part time work – this is a reality of university life. Use detailed examples but keep to the point – you are limited to around 300 words for each answer (this will vary for some answers).

• The form should take time – but if you are really struggling to answer the questions, you should stop and question the motivation behind your application. Is your interest alone in Unilever sufficient evidence to win an interview? Competition is strong with only a third of applicants being interviewed each year.

• If you are having difficulty completing our application form because of a disability, please let us know as we may be able to offer assistance.

• In return for the time you have taken to apply, we promise that it will be read by one of our specially trained assessors and that you will receive an answer within four weeks.

• You may want to print a copy of your completed application for future reference.

After you have applied

After you have submitted your application form you will be able to check the progress of your application from the application area main menu. We will of course be keeping you informed about your application by email or letter.

Should you be successful and we want to invite you to attend a first round interview we will write to you (by email or letter). You will then be able to book your interview online.

Questions or problems?

If you have any questions or problems concerning your application then please email us. We will then respond either by email or telephone, as appropriate.

Good luck and thank you for your interest in joining Unilever's Graduate Leadership Programme.
